VTI-MA is a private intensive vocational training institute with vision to harness talents and skills to foster creativity and performance in various career domains and opportunities in the music and cultural industries.
Providing the basis for Practical Music Education (talent and skills development) which will enable young Cameroonians find jobs or create career businesses of their own, our programs are unique with several options and musical domains with linkages between vocational training and academic disciplines.
DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC PRACTICE AND EDUCATION (MPE)
MPE is designed to train Music Teachers, covering music pedagogy, educational concepts, music practice and performances, school musical counseling and animation.
DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)
MBA trains Cadet Musicians on organizational and operational strategies in running music and entertainment businesses.
DEPARTMENT OF REGIMENTAL MUSIC (REM)
REM provides training on Military musical practices and performances. REM will take cadets across songs performed by regiments including Anthems, Martial music, battle hymns and dirges.
DEPARTMENT OF AFRICAN TRADITIONAL MUSIC (ATM)
ATM provides training on African traditional musical practices and performances with focus on musical instrument types, rhythms, melodies and harmonies in cultural entertainment; multi-cultural diversity, cultural heritage.
DEPARTMENT OF DIGITAL MUSIC PRODUCTION (DMP)
DMP provides training on Music production, drilling students on modern music production technologies and accessories, software and hard ware management; and techniques to acquire a finished musical product fit for the market.
DEPARTMENT OF JAZZ MUSIC (JAM)
JAM provides the basis for freedom and high level creativity in music performance with key elements including scales, charts, improvisation, great composers and masterpieces.
